So, as a birthday present for our guitarist (Stefan), or because of what reason ever we decided to play two shows this evening, starting our journey in Vienna. Markus and I arrived quite late at the Arena and so there was no time left to do a soundcheck. We got into the venue and 20 minutes later we entered the stage. I think it was at about 7pm when we started our set and unfortunately not to many people showed up at this time. But who cares, the arena is for sure one of the nicest venues you can play in Austria and we all enjoyed playing there. Thanks again to the Slam Zine who made this possible and of course another time congratulations to your anniversary! The show was quite ok although Stefan almost knocked Klaus out at the first seconds of our set. He threw his guitar and hit Klaus at his head…(you have to imagine that the guitar broke because of this)… for the rest of the show our singer had a bleeding wound just above his forehead… After our set we where all quite exhausted so we spent one hour in the arena to relax a little bit. Then we left heading towards Graz to reach our final destination for this night. Arriving at about 11pm in Gleisdorf Estate just started their set. So there was some time left to get some beer and drink on Stefans birthday. After another amazing Estate show we built up our gear and started our set for the second time. Again without a sound check. But this time the sound was really good!! After playing a few songs all of a sudden many guys entered the stage. I did not really recognize what was happening until I saw Stefan being carried through the room tied to his guitar with tape! This was for sure the biggest birthday surprise for him;-) Then at about 2pm we finally started celebrating Stefans birthday in the backstage room and soon headed towards Graz to meet -Marcel- in the musichouse. It all ended up as a big party with many many friends and I am sure that everybody had a great time this evening.
