2006/03/24 - AT - Hollabrunn, Alter Schlachthof

For all Austrians of you ... Who of you knows a small village in Lower Austria called Hollabrunn and its "Alten Schlachthof"? I think there are not too many people now, who will answer that question with a spontaneous YES. If you didn´t do that know, just visit http://www.masturbationrecords.com and try to get the next train to Hollabrunn! For me personally this is one of the best clubs and concert locations in whole Austria ... If they would create some kind of catering service, they´d booked out for years, I´m sure about that! Absolute Top Class!

Originally we should play that show with I FARM from the U.S. - but they canceled their tour. If you want to know why, I´ll quote the text of their homepage here: " Because of creative differences between I Farm and Yoyo Records (who released I Farm´s new record on vinyl in Europe) the rest of the European tour has been cancelled. This was not our choice to cancel the tour. We sincerely apologize to our friends and fans. We will be back..Thanks to everyone who helps us at the shows we played and to all the promoters who set them up..."

What a pitty, I really wanted to see that band on stage. OK, so "Kimera", "From My Chest" and we were sharing the stage in Hollabrunn ... As I had to repair some parts of my drum hardware before going on stage I hadn´t been able to watch "From My Chest" and "Kimera", which wasn´t the best decission as I heard, cause as my bandmates told me they did a great job and I missed it :-(! At about 23:30 we had to go on stage and play our second show in Hollabrunn! It´s quite strange, but when we played our first parts, I thought: "Yes, as I expected, great stage sound here in Hollabrunn" - and believe me, there are not many locations where I´d expect that! So thx a lot to Willi the sound engineer for doing such a great job!

The Chicken of our band, called Max had his birthday that week, which means that he became twenty years of age, and of course we had to celebrate this! And so we did ... Maybe that´s the reason why Max made it, to sleep about two ours standing at the bar ... Yes, you´re right, while we was sleeping he was standing ;-)! It was funny to watch him, but come on, he had his twentieth birthday! Good Job Max ;-)!

So I just can express a very big THX to the organizers and the crowd again! THX to the audience that you came to that concert, although I FARM cancelled. Really commendable! You guys really know what it means to "support your scene", and that is, what makes me happy! THX!
